"CALDERWOOD INN IS EXCELLENT IN EVERY WAY!
My wife and I stayed at the Calderwood Inn in Healdsburg over Valentine's weekend and had a terrific experience. The entire facility is kept extraordinarily clean, the service is absolute first rate, location is an easy walk to shops and restaurants, beds are very comfortable and the breakfast was second to none. We recommend this Inn to anyone staying in Sonoma wine country. The innkeeper, Margaret, knows the definition of great service. February 21, 2010
"THE QUINTESSENTIAL B&B EXPERIENCE"
The room was charming and the bed very comfy. You outdid yourself with quiche, fruit and other yummy things for breakfast. It was interesting to dine with 4 other couples and chat over breakfast - felt like summer camp, but with much better food. And sipping Wilson wines for happy hour on the grand porch - that just capped it off.
I took a one-night romantic getaway trip to Healdsburg with my significant other for my first true "wine-tasting" trip and booked the Mazzocco room here after reading other reviews. I definitely agree with the very high ratings! Margaret, the current innkeeper, was very, very flexible regarding our stay (we wanted to bike around Sonoma, so had to be able to cancel last minute if a rainstorm came through). The wine hour with the 4 other guests was delightful and my boyfriend and I never felt out of place as young twenty-somethings. Margaret gave great winery tips (definitely see Sbragia and Mazzocco, the latter of which is owned by the Wilsons, who also own Calderwood Inn). Breakfast was GREAT- creamy eggs, crisp bacon, fresh-baked muffins, fresh OJ.

Our visit to the Calderwood Inn was above and beyond. Upon arrival we had the opportunity to meet Ken Wilson, the owner, and then Margaret Morris the Innkeeper. We stayed in the DeLorimier Room but spent most of our time in the kitchen or chatting with other guests in the living room. Margaret was a wealth of information on the wineries and the local restaurants. The Calderwood Inn is located just a short walking distance from the main square withlots of wineries and shops along the way. At Margaret's advice we even walked to the local market on Saturday morning. The homecooked breakfasts were a great way to start a day with visits to the local wineries.
“Wonderful ambience in a great location”

As wine club members of one of Ken and Diane Wilson's wineries, we recently took advantage of a club promotion and booked the entire bed and breakfast inn for a long weekend. Because we booked the whole facility, we did not experience the usual "breakfast" component of the B&B, so I can't comment on that or on the usual service; however, the house and grounds are beautiful, comfortable and extremely convenient for wine-tasting or any activities in this beautiful region. And the service that was provided was extremely helpful and friendly. A hospitality hour with wines from the Wilson wineries is a real bonus as well. Quality, affordable accommodations in Healdsburg don't seem too easy to come by, so this new option is extremely welcome.
“Great B&B!!!”

We have been traveling to Healdsburg annually for years but only this trip discovered the lovely Calderwood Inn. It was a warm and inviting place to spend our two nights in Healdsburg and the innkeeper, Margaret, was an absolute pleasure to be around. She felt like a longtime friend with her warmth, quick wit, and attention to detail. She even made me a "special" breakfast after discovering at the last minute that I don't consume cheese. The veranda and "wine hour" is not to be missed and we quickly became friends with those who gathtered there, guests and locals alike. We will definitely be returning to the Calderwood Inn next year and would highly recommend it to anyone.
